Hi all!
Just wanted to share my experience submitting my documents. My SO and I were worried about our applications so we wanted a lawyer to help us. The prices were crazy, in the thousands.
Then it occurred to us that, maybe we could fill out the forms ourselves and have a lawyer review them for us. The lawyer read through the forms, and was able to point out some inconsistencies like typos and small errors. He also recommended a certain way to put the forms and other documents. All this lasted less than 1 hour and cost $300 (Check for quotes with your lawyers though). He also answered some questions I had afterwards. Our application had no RFEs and went smoothly!
I figured I would share this as a possibility to some of you. I think it was worth it overall since he corrected us a lot and helped us put the package together. Of course, each lawyer is different so your mileage may vary here.
