  • conditional GC, SSN issue

i got my 2 year GC in jan 2018, i went today to update my 18 year old SSN.

she looked in the system and said for some reason the dhs website show my status as EAD and not GC so they can't remove conditions... i did have valid ead till august as most of us apply for ead before interview.
i even traveled out of country recently and no issue when i came back to usa with my GC ...

i even got my 4 year drivers license, they check that and only if GC they give 4 years in oklahoma.

no big deal, i will remove them when i get my us citizenship in few years but has anyone encountered this issue?

Can one remove conditions on a social security card once they get 2 year green card? My SSN has ?authorized to work with DHS approval? something to that effect.

Yes. A card issued to a permanent resident (conditional or not) should not have restriction text on it.
