  • Courtesy Letter for I-485

I have submitted my application for adjustment of status last month and I have done my bimetrics last week. Today, I got the Courtesy Letter from USCIS saying that your I-693 was not submitted along with I-485. You will be required to submit information and evidence to overcome the deficiencies at a later date. I have intensionally did not submit I-693 as I was sure that till my interview comes it will take more than 1 year as my application is based on spouse of a green card. So, Do I have to submit I-693 or Will it be fine to submit it when I go for an interview.

It says at a later date, so that means not immediately. Your choices for submitting the I-693 are three-fold. You either submit it with your initial filing of I-485, at any time period between filing your I-485 and your interview, or bring it to your interview. That's what USCIS states on their instructions.

So if your courtesy letter doesn't name any specific way they'd prefer you to submit it, then you can take it with you to interview.

It's said you will be required to submit it on a later date... so I don't think you should submit it at this time. Maybe they will send you something like REF.
