  • Notice Was Returned To USCIS Because The Post Office Could Not Deliver It

Hello Guys, Anyone with helpful information on what to do about my pending case with USCIS. Pls read accordingly and i would really appreciate individuals opinion

I am the Applicant filed based on Adjustment of status (Permanent Resident)
    Case Received: 22 January 2018
Did my Biometrics: 20 February 2017
Notice Was Returned To USCIS: "On March 9, 2018, the Post Office returned a notice we sent you for your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number Mxxxxxxxx, because they could not deliver it. This could have a serious effect on your case. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice immediately''.

However, I didn't get to know this until (28 March 2018) when i check my case online, I never do the case tracking online since I did get all the previous notice from the USCIS through my post office mail. I decided check the photocopy of the forms I submitted to the USCIS and i figured out there was ''typo error'' on my post office zip code and i understand why they could not be delivered the Notice. So, that day (28 March 2018) I call USCIS made service request for the notice to be resend to me and was told to wait 30 days (April 28 2018) also do address change on the USCIS website which they respond back to my email; address successfully changed. After 30 days, No response from USCIS. I call them again on (30 April 2018) has to know why they do not respond to the service request I made and they wont tell me what the notice was all about. I was told to wait another one month which mean a new service request was established.

I am just worried now, I suppose to have schedule for interview or receive my EAD card its already 104 days today. Just curious to know what is in the notice that was returned back to the USCIS. Pls anyone with similar experience ???

Did you sign up for informed delivery with USPS? You can see the mail that will be delivered to you before it is delivered.

      same thing

      hi!

the same thing happened to us, we are now registered on informed delivery with USPS to make sure this doesnt happen again, in the mean time, what we did was call and ask to speak to a level 2 officer so we could ask what was it about, they told us over the phone it was an interview notice, and the date, and they resent it. Maybe try calling again see if you are lucky with another officer?

Our address was not wrong, it was just a usps mistake
