Hello Everyone,
I had filled my I485 in Feb and did my biometrics on April. Yesterday (May) I received RFE asking me to send my birth certificate:
"Submit a copy of the applicant's foriegn birth certificate issued by the appropriate civil authority. If the document is in a language other than English ......."
What makes it confusing to me is that I had already sent a copy of my birthcertificate (issued 14 days after my birth-date) and it included the city I was born and the name of my parents and date of my birth and a certified translation of that done by someone fluent in my home language and english. The RFE does not say anything special about the one I had sent them so it seems to me they have not looked at my birth certificate.
I was wondering if any of you have had similar experience and what would you suggest me to do?
What do you think the issue might have been?
(I am not sure if I need to ask the attorney for the help or not). I am thinking of submitting the copy of my original birth certificate and the translated one again (this time I can make it motorized). Would I need affirmatives also?
Please let me know your opinion and experiences on this.
Best regards
