Hello, our joint sponsor meets the current income requirement, which is 25,000 for househould of 2. The recent tax return for last year 2017 was 40,000, 2016 for 23,000, but 2015 was 2,000 which is low income. Would that be a problem ?

I don't think so, my husband made 17000 one year and I didn't receive any RFE. Just my 2 cents!

No it won?t be a problem. They look at the most recent tax return or pay stubs. What he made previous years is irrelevant. They actually only need one year recent tax return these days. They might not even look at the old ones you sent.
