I'm still waiting for my employer to give me the letter so I can include it in my expedite document package.
I'm reading about Infopass right now, and I wonder if I should book an appointment to bring everything in person and have a chance to explain it myself?
Since my I-765 is still at the an early stage (like I haven't really waited for days like other people) I'm getting worried that my expedite request won't be granted but I still want to give it a try...
The officers at the Field Office do not adjudicate EAD/APs. They may issue an emergency AP but that's the extent of it. Follow the detailed steps I gave you. Others who followed it had their EAD/AP expedited successfully in no time.

Thank you for responding. The USCIS instruction will indicate the lockbox or mail that is specific to your state and the category that you filed. Since that was not stated, I cannot assist. However you may use these links. I hope they help.

      All the best.

Certain aliens noncitizens who are in the United States may file Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, to request employment authorization and an Employment Authorization Document (EAD). Other aliens noncitizens whose immigration status authorizes them to work in the United States without restrictions may also use Form I-765 to apply to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for an EAD that shows such authorization.

Thank you so much! I did called USCIS yesterday to place the request to expedite, the rep told me to wait for 5-7days to receive an answer/instruction from them so I guess I'm on the right track here?
I will also go to a congressman near my place next week to see if they can help on my behalf.

Edited: I have this updated on my USCIS page

Fewer people are expediting these days. It seems like that frenzy is over. Of course, they chose to send you a response via mail.

          1-816-251-2771
          1-816-251-2799

Those are all the fax numbers they have. Don't wait for the letter. Just send in the evidence. Attention EAD/AP expedite team. I hope you requested to expedite both. Otherwise, they will just approve your EAD without AP - truly inefficient on their part. I would call again, before they close and get the expedited request in for your AP. Trust me, you will only submit evidence for your EAD but they will approve both.

You DID well! your case was assigned to an officer to send the mailed letter rather fast. Some people its been 3days to 10 days to just get it assigned.
Hmm, they should make a combo card if you applied for both at the same time.

I thought that too but user huuu67 (I think) only got the ead approved and not the AP. It's happened to others. You know USCIS.

Crazy, the AP should be easier to approve. The AP expedite process actually is worse...no fun.

                  Thank you!!

I did fax everything on 08/15 and so far I have ?t heard anything from them! Should I call them back to see if they received it? Or should I wait for a couple more days?
And it would be super frustrating if they approve Ead without the AP. But it at least helps me to get back to work (my boss was super nice and understanding, she would hold my position for 2 months before finding sbd else)

Yes, get a new medical report and bring it to the interview.

Good luck and all the best.

Certainly take a new I693 with you. It may be the difference with you being approved on the spot or waiting for a few weeks for you to send it in. Have it in hand, and do excellently on the interview, that way it is handed to the officer and the entire process is complete. My I693 was expired before the interview, I did a new one and took it with me. I did not wait for the officer to ask me for it, I handed it to her and she was impressed, she said she was just about to tell me that it was expired.

                            Hi Hotaru (firefly?),
I got my I-693 sent out with my I-485 package. Let?s say if it?s gonna expire by the time I get an interview, I would still have to get another one with updated information to bring to my interview? in sealed package?
                            Thank you!

This thread is about EADs and EAD renewals not the I-693. There is lots of examples of when you need to re-do the I-693.

my husband is supposed to be under c5 category since he's a J-2. Has anyone heard of the automatic 180 days extension for his case? Thank you.
