This might be a dumb question, but I see many people talking about providing proof of communication. We never emailed in the beginning of our relationship and who knows how many thousands of texts we've exchanged. There isn't really a way to go back almost 2 years ago to show text messages. How are these people doing this?Field Office Location: Salt Lake City, UT

This iphone manager backs up all the contents of your iphone and it transfer files/text messages/music to your computer. Without that program, the only other option would have been to scroll back to June 2016 and take screenshots. And as you may know, once you take a screenshot, the screen goes back to the most recent message in 2018. So it's very time consuming to do that.
iExplorer generates the text messages onto a PDF and if includes a thumbnail of pictures on your message trail, if you have sent each other pictures. It also includes the phone number, IP address. It puts it in a format that is accepted in courts of law. So the officer can be sure that the text messages are not **** , etc. There are several other programs. I did not try those. I just bought 2 licenses for iExplorer. You really just need one.
If you are going to include text messages, I would focus on those that you can tie to a celebration, a dinner with friends, your wedding, etc AND to receipts.
Hope that answers your question!Last edited by samlynn; 11-27-2018, 10:05 PM.

I have android and did it with the SMS Backup+ app. It will link with your gmail and download every text on your phone. Then in gmail it will be a folder and will set it up like a email chain for every 100 messages. For us 100 texts is about 5-6 days so I just picked the last week of the month for a few months and printed that out. 100 texts was about 9-10 pages of conversation11/20/17 - PD - Marriage Based AOS

For iOS Phone Users
I used a program called iMazing to download my iPhone text message data and convert it into an Acrobat PDF file which you can choose to print out in batches while waiting for your interview schedule to be set by USCIS, this is what I have done in batches of 100 pages per week since my last backup.
My text exchanges with my husband from the first time we met 2 years ago until the end of October this year populated 1,692 pages of letter size paper. I believe that should be a substantial evidence of relationship in addition to the standard content many have used in their Green Card interviews.
iMazing can be purchased through StackSocial.com - i dont remember how much i paid for it maybe around $15.00 - but it is sure worth the value when you can present such evidence of communication over a lengthy period of time.
Hope this helps y'all.
Cheers
