  • Interview scheduled in NY but temporary moved to NJ

Hi, my interview was recently scheduled in NY where I originally applied from but I recently moved to NJ (temperorily only) due to my job. I still maintain my NY address and have access to mails.

During the interview, would this be a big issue? or should I just tell them it is a temporary move and I plan to go back to NY?

I would tell them for the sake of being open and honest.
This is strictly an opinion and should not be misconstrued as legal advice. The use of this information is strictly at your own risk.

Did you really "move" MOVE? Or did you just get a second place so that you could avoid the long commute that was draining you and impairing your job performance. People do this all the time. It's all in the wording. The change of address form says that you do not have to report every single temporary move as long as you maintain your permanent address and continue to receive mail there.
So arm yourself with the USPS delivery account daily digest print outs to show that you do in fact get mail there every day. I would add one more layer of legitimacy to your claim. I would register to vote at your NY address. Your move is coming up anyway. As long as both names are on the utilites of both locations etc, then you should be fine. Keep everything joint as much as you can.

        All the best.
