**Pending I-485 and I-130

For family based green cards do both your I-130 and I-485 need to be approved? Can you get your green card if they approve one while the other one is still pending? Thank you.

1. Yes both have to be approved to get a green card. The i-130 is establishes the basis on which you can adjust status(i-485).
