I'm from Hong Kong and just got married to a Texan. I am currently on F1 student VISA, applied for EAD under my maiden name. I was previously issued an SSC, but I lost the actual card.
I'm wanting to change my last name to my husband's. However, I'm unsure how I should proceed. I will be applying for AOS soon, and I have read that I can just make the change on the I-300 and I-485. My question is, would I need to go to social security office prior to make that name change with SSA?
