I hope that someone would respond here so I can get more clarity and prepare better.

I got my biometrics letter last 11th and my appointment is on the 26th. In the letter, I noticed that one character is missing in my middle name. Need help on the ff please:

    1. Will I still be allowed to complete the biometrics?
    2. Will the biometrics office be able to correct my name (Tampa office)?
    3. Is there a way to check if it's just a typo error on uscis' end when the letter was being made and is correct in the system?

I really wish that this does not pose any delay in my application.

Note: I checked all the soft copy of my application in our computer and they're all spelled correctly.
I'd just reach out to USCIS. If your name was correct on all of your initial applications, you should not be at fault. Maybe it's as easy as them updating an address since you spelled your name correctly. Hope it goes smoothly.

Called yesterday about the marriage cert. and was told that I still need to response to the letter. I look on my case status this morning and it stated "As of June 19, 2018, your request to have your interview rescheduled, referral number T **** **** *S, is currently not assigned for processing" I never requested for an reschedule any interview.

            What's going on?

I don't understand what's going on, I sent in my aos package to Chicago lock box on 06/18/2018, it was delivered and picked up by uscis on 06/19/2018, no update since then. Checks has not been cashed. I noticed that people that filed in May get their receipt and check cashed in 5-6 days. What time of the day did you guys receive the text and email and what time of the day was the check cashed.

i would say, it might take around 2-4 weeks. if you don't get anything in 4 weeks then, you should call them and ask them about it.

Received Courtesy Letter for I-693 on 6/29/18. I guess that means progress is being made on the case and no additional evidence/clarification is required. Any thoughts?

                    H4 AOS Rejection(Cross Chargeability)

                    Employment based AOS (I-485, I-765 and I-131 AP) Cross-Chargeability
                    Location - NJ
Documents Mailed to - Lewisville, TX
                    Citizenship: India
                    Concurrent Filing: No
                    Chargeability: UAE(Spouse Country of Birth)
                    05/21/18 - USCIS Received(Fedex Tracking)
                    06/30/18 - Checks Processed for one applicant($1225) and child($750)
06/31/18 - Recieved rejection for spouse (filed AOS based on spouse's country of birth- Cross Chargeability)

I completed all the application and gave it to my employer and they got it reviewed and corrected the Part 2. Application Type or Filing Category for my spouse and this got rejected for the reason: "Application Has Not Been Fully Completed. One of the following fields were not completed:- Application Type".
We applied for my spouses I-765/EAD along with this AOS. We selected the option 1.b."Alien Worked, Form I-140", but my reviewer erased the choice and didnt selected any.

Can anyone help me with the correct answer for Part 2. Application Type in Form I-485 (H4 spouse who doesn't have an EAD).
Do I need to reprint all the forms, fill it again and submit as a fresh application along with the Rejection Letter from USCIS.

Yes, if you take closer look at the letter, you'll see it pretty much says that your case has been reviewed for completeness, no Initial evidence OR Additional Evidence is missing. Thus, the I-693 courtesy letter is the last step before your status changes to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview". How soon you are scheduled for an interview depends on your field office. You may be at the ready for interview stage for a few days, weeks, months or even a couple of years in extreme cases.

                      All the best,

I must have overlooked the part about completeness and no initial or additional evidence being required. Was your I-693 completed prior to you receiving the courtesy letter, noticed your signature has date 4-11-18. Once the courtesy letter is received, I guess it's time to schedule the exams. I'm curious, what does, "All applications assigned to Officer for response - per Level 3 officer" mean? Thanks for all of your advice and help!

I really have to edit that out. That means I spoke to a level 3 officer. That's the supervisor of a level 2.
We have not done the I-693 because our field office was Minneapolis, MN - one of the slowest in the US. Moved and updated our jurisdiction to the Raleigh-Durham, NC. Once we get the interview scheduled status update, my husband will get the I-693 filled out. He has all of his vaccination records from Malaysia, so it should be a painless process.

I know it does not say anything about completeness but that's pretty much what it means. They reviewed everything and determined only the I-693 is missing.

How soon your interview is scheduled depends entirely on your field office. I would wait. You just filed. But then again, stranger things we've seen around here.

Cases ready to be scheduled for interview

For the 1st time ever, received case status updates via email. Emails state cases are ready to be scheduled for interview. This process is moving fast, not that I have any complaints. Now to wait for the actual date and finally get preparations in order for the I-693.
