  • New pocessing times?

Has anybody else noticed a huge jump in processing times for the i485? Last month, the Raleigh field office stated it was processing cases in approximately 5.5 months. This month, the USCIS processing times page is showing that the Raleigh F.O. is now i485s between 11.5 and 26 months. Does a 6 month jump in a month seem plusable? Has anyone else noticed huge jumps in processing times at their respective FO.? I am also curious because the average time still shows what it did last months (6.5- 16.5 months).

Trump is ruining everything. I wish my husband abc I had done this during OBama?s presidency. Yes there were delays but not as disorganized as now.

Is it for real? It was just January 1 and now is Dec 10. I called in and the level 1 office still got the 2.5 to 5 months with Jan 1, 2018. I asked why i checked online and its different. She was soo rude to me and sounded like yelling at me ... no ideas what to do now.

They are not trying to be efficient. The slower they go the fewer green cards they have to give.

              crazy

Really this is crazy and frustrating, as at this morning NBC had gotten to Jan 1, 2018 for EAD but surprisingly now went back to Dec 10, 2017.
feeling dejected all other processing time have changed.

If you check with other office, they stilll have the same old time Jan 2, 2018. There must be something going on and they try to make us wait.

Can't just believe this. Last night I checked for Minneapolis and they were working on July 10 2016 case and when I checked it today, its jumped back to April 14. 3 months backward again ontop of more than 12 months backlogged.

Yes I couldn't believe it when I checked today, mine went from 5.5 - 7.5 months down to 2.5 - 5months. I'm at 3.5 months waiting at the moment so I'm hoping it will come through soon.

I found that the field office where the processing time was 4.5 month changed to average 9.5 month/11.5 month...

This is really confusing!! There must be something going on in the department.

                          Maybe an algorithm?

This is what I assumed about the algorithm of the processing times.

All cases are entered on the system with the priority date as a key parameter that resets every year. This is a variable parameter IF someone gets an RFIE or RFE as they cannot delete the entire case. Same as the interview case, when the IO needs to review, then it will change the entire processing times.

My reason, is that most of the filers from Q1 2018 got an interview right away. I might be wrong, tho.
