    Adjustment of Status after Applying for Green Card in India, Then Traveling to U.S.

    Hi,

    I am trying to sponsor my 80+ year old father for a green card. He already has a multi-year multi-entry visitor visa to the US.

    Question - Can he apply in India, then come to U.S. on the Visitor Visa, and then apply for adjustment of status if it takes longer?
