    Hi everyone,

I am SFV filer since March 2017. to be clear this is n't a normal processing time as they told me different things at different info passes, on December last year they said they will set my interview by January, then they said they waiting my FBI background check then l ast two infopass said they waiting reply from secret agency that they can't name it, and yesterday at Info pass they told me I am far away from having any interview soon. that is shadey and not right.

The only thing I can think of is internal programs like CARRP and other programs target minorities.
Please share your timeline and what do you think. and if we can take a legal action toward that nonsense.

Or you're applying from a country that has a 7-10 year waiting time for start to finish Green Card approval depending on your category. Everyone is having to wait so just be patient. your time will come. don't put race into the equation because it's not. country of origin can be a factor but again it is not because of race but because of how many people from that country try to immigrate, thus causing the long waiting periods. Best of Luck
This is strictly an opinion and should not be misconstrued as legal advice. The use of this information is strictly at your own risk.

1st my Case is Family-based(my wife and kids are US citizen) case so It's available immediately. Secondly my country in other category doesnt have that waitinglist if you apply for EB kinda of visa

2nd Race, Religion, ethnicity is for sure you can go to ACLU and Read about programs to delay different minority group ( that is the 1st thing) its documented

3rd they have no reason to delay the case and being shady about the process.

when there is a discrimination or unfair treat to a group of people then we have to stand up for that not being negative and leave things pass as it is

So I am sure no reason for delay after that many years in the country paying my Taxes and everything is clear.

Some days are better than others in terms of anger and frustration and on the worst days I can?t help but think race is involved. He?s from Brazil.

I am not claiming 100% its, but its a fair probability because the practice that found over years that's why I wanna know more about the people who faced a delay to see what common.

your file can be stuck at any place if there's a thing related to internal programs

And my attorney also told me that she sees a delay in clients who have certain Race or religion.

Then keep us informed about the last information and try to make info pass and ask if you should resubmit your paperwork if you didn't receive any receipt till now

When you send your mail make it certified signature mail if it wasn't the first time, if it was then try to follow with USPS and see info about it.

can you post your exact timeline in detail? i think there's many here on the forums that have longer timelines.

i'm waiting since dec 2017, i'm not from Norway, and i will patiently wait till i get my interview notice. Right now it says its between 11-27 months for my location, which i think matters most in how long it will take..
This is my opinion, not legal advice!

So my PD is March, 2017 when I didin't hear anything until December I had an info pass, during the info pass the officer said I will rewuest your file to come to the field office so we can schedule you for interview and if you didnt hear anything by january, 2018 come back, so I came back to the field officeon February, they told me the file came on january and she went to talk to the officer who has my case and after 10 minutes she came back and told me we waiting the back ground check, on May I had another info pass, the officer didnt know why my case was not set for interview so she also went to talk with the officer who has my case and after few minutes she came and she said we waiting reply from another agency but she said the FBI background check came back. and when I asked what agency, she said she dont know and the officer didnt tell her and basically its a secret. then on june two days ago, I had another Info pass, the officer said you are far away from being haveing any interview soon and he denied that there's any officer have my case( which lie as two infopass before they went inside and talked with the officer who have my case) plus other not clear info.

                    Thats part of the process

Based on my experience and the various infopass appointments. One thing is clear the officers are very busy and overwhelmed at times you need to give them space and let them explain exactly where your case is. If your background checks were not complete it would be near impossible to get an interview in 1 months time. So clearly the first officer rushed and gave answers based on their experience and not the new USCIS trump world. Even USCIS is dealing with all the new changes om the fly. Next, your background checks need to complete all agencies, if the FBI check comes back needing more info, they are going to make you wait. Lastly your latest appointment, so to be clear since last year USCIS has really slowed down and waits are getting worse. So while in June 2017 your field office has 5 months wait, it could be 12 months in June 2018.

So to be clear as you goto your next infopass. 1st, ?Where is my case currently located??, ?is my biometrics and background
checks complete??, ?is there a way for you to add a note to finish my background checks??. ?Is my case at the ready-to interview phase??, ?whats the field office interview wait like these days??

So to be clear the file won?t leave the NBC till your background checks complete. Then it will be put into a file with all other cases in your area and wait to be selected to move to your local office. Then once its at your local office start to worry about getting an interview at some point.

Btw, I am born in one of said ?List countries?.

Survey says the law and US government representatives where there to fix your issue. Sure seems your timeline was typical and no real discrimination at play here.

I wish that is true ( but the reason for the delay they mentioned to the senator office was not the same they said to me they said to the senator office that they were verfying his address) I went at least 4-5 times over 7 months and the last one denied completly there was an officer had my case(different from what I was told and the officers went and talked to officer have my case) and he said you wont get any interview any time soon(which not true when the senator interfered)
