  • Received mail on renewal

    Hi,

Well I received a mail today from USCIS on my renewal of I-131 & I-765. But I also received a mail I-797C Notice of Action. So mail states I will have biometrics again ? Do they do fingerprints again ? For renewal ? I have my I-485 still pending and it?s been more then a year and haven?t heard anything back.

Why haven't you reached out to your Senator? I suggested that on May 10th on a thread you started. As of January 31st, 2018 they were working on cases from 04/04/17. I know that because I saved all those processing times on an Excel sheet. So like I said, reach out to your senator.

I'm on the same boat. This July will be a year since I submitted my I-485 and no news about interview. My Work permit expires in October and I don't know when to apply for a renewal. I'm thinking about applying for Advance Parole as well not to go out of the country but will feel safer traveling the US.
      My husband is petition me.

You are supposed to apply for EAD renewal 90 days before your current EAD expires. Do it and don?t delay because renewals are also taking a long time to be approved.

That I-797C grants you an automatic extension for 180 days. I do not think you will have to do biometrics again. However, if you get a biometric appointment, by all means attend it.

            From USCIS site:
If you are still eligible for employment authorization but your EAD will be expiring or has expired, you should file for a renewal EAD by submitting a new Form I-765 and filing fee (if required), unless a fee waiver is requested and approved. Generally, you should not file for a renewal EAD more than 180 days before your original EAD expires.

              Hello,

Yes, i remember your advise from few months back and my wife already wrote a letter to Senator but we haven't received any reply or any feedback from them.

If i do will notify but i'm still very much frustrated on whats happening and my case when logged in shows they still need to review my case and will let me know if they approve or deny the case.

              Thank You
