Hi! I filed in October 2017, it?s for my son and me. Is there anyone who has any idea about how long it?s taking and what dates are being processed at Vermont Service Center. I am very scared for my son and me. Please help.

You have to wait 11 to 12 months from your application date which is october 2017. you will not receive any update from USCIS until October 2018.

For some reason AOS filed by American citizens sponsoring their spouses suppose to be quicker,but I?ve been in that long wait for 8 months so far,no EAD/AP card yet,it also depends on the field office and workload they got,in some cases it?s taking two years or more become a green card holder,one must be really patient,at least that lady that started this thread got EAD,but it?s hard for folks like me without any paperwork to fight an arrest,so If I were you I wouldn?t be too concerned about it because you?re already in the system.
