I485 Administratively Closed, Appeal? Forced to separate with my wife

Hi All,

Recently, I received I485 decision letter which said my I485 was administratively closed letter due to priority date issue.

It took USCIS over a year to reply to me on I485, I did my biometrics and everything, if they had denied my application within 2 months, my F1 would've still been valid and I would've been able to reapply easily.

Now that my F1 is expired, I won't be able to refile for I485, and I am forced to separate with my wife (who is a permanent resident) and go back to my home country until I can interview with the consulate again.

Is there any possibility of appealing for a more favorable decision decision?

Well, were they right to deny it? (i.e. was your priority date not eligible to file during the month you filed according to USCIS's filing charts?)

How far is your wife away from naturalization?
