  • About to mail my I-485 and I-130 concurrently, what method of shipping, USPS????

I am finally ready to mail my forms and supporting docs, and before I head out to the post office I wanted to know what you suggest for shipping of these precious documents??

    Sending to :

    USCIS
    P.O. Box 805887
    Chicago, IL 60680-4120

Do I need to write anything else for the destination address?

    Thank YOU!!!

I mailed mine using certified mail with USPS. USCIS received the application in 2 days.

I sent my packet Priority Mail Express (overnight). It wasn't too expensive, about $44, but I had the peace of mind through the online tracking/insurance. The packet was also delivered about 40 mins late, which meant I got my money back.

Fedex all the way! You don't have to overnight it. You can choose next day or 2nd day. That's my 2 cents.

I've sent a package with my AOS documents to the USCIS PO Box in Chicago on Monday but I realized just a few hours later that my husband made a mistake in the I-864 (Current Annual Income Question). Because we didn't want to have an RFE, we placed an Intercept on the package the same day, to have it returned to us.

My package arrived at the destination Post Office in Chicago yesterday at 7:30am, but since then hasn't made any progress and still says "In-transit". I've tried to call the PO but the lady I got on the phone wasn't able to help me and just said she will remind the Supervisor that my package needs to be returned to the sender. Is it actually going to happen? I'm kind of worried that my package is just going to be ignored and never returned to me nor ready for Pickup for the USCIS....

I'm thinking about resending my whole AOS package, what do you think I should do?

            Thanks!!

I’m having the same issue now, only that the phone number I got for the USPS in Chicago, they don’t answer the phone at all.

what eventually happened with your package? How soon was it returned to u?
