  • After Green card interview. Weird things happening

I had my interview 2 weeks ago and the interview went good. The officer was cracking jokes with me and my husband and he gave me a letter and ticked off the part that says, "Your application is being recommended for approval..."

He then told me I should get an approval notice and card in mail within 30 days. I know 30 days isn't up yet but I'm worried that I haven't received the official approval yet. When I called USCIS last week and spoke with a level 2 officer he said my case hasn't been approved and the officer has 120 days to do so? Why would the officer said he's approving me when he didn't?

Also, this morning I awoke and checked my cases in .gov but my i485 application was removed from the website. When I tried to add the receipt number back to the 'my cases' list, an error message came up saying that the receipt number doesn't exist.

Anyone had any similar experiences? Please shed some light on what is going on here.

Relax and smell the roses. Your case will approved. Things take time sometimes and there is a lot of glitches in the USCIS system.

Some people get theirs after weeks but if the officer said you will be approved u probably will. Wait out the 30 days and if nothing, do an infopass. I've read stories where people waited months and did infopasses and found out the officer forgot or went on vacation. To them it's just a job and don't treat it with urgency. They don't see it in a perspective of affecting other people's lives. Smh.

Level 2 officers are proving to me time and time again that they are useless. You were misinformed. There is no time limit to adjudicate adjustment of status cases. Employment based AOS does have a time limit of 120 days after the interview. Naturalization cases also have a time goal/limit.

They're also telling people the Case Inquiry date = Processing cases as of MM/DD/YY. Useless.

Why weren't you approved on the spot? I feel like we need to be a little bit more assertive at this interviews. Look at legoslab, waited hours for his stamp, and did not walk out of there until he got it.

"Is it additional evidence? Is it the medical? Are there any concerns? We are happy to address them now. We can wait. etc." We all have access to all our accounts online. So it's a matter of just pulling out your phone.

USCIS folks all seem overworked and beyond bitter. Then we have stories like this today " http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/...614-story.html ".

Great advice on being more assertive these days but always everyone remember to be polite and calm. Zero idea what DHS goal is anymore.

Hi. He didn't ask for additional evidence or anything. We gave him evidence and he said our case was good and I answered the yes and no questions. He gave me the paper that said it's recommended for approval and in red ink he wrote,"CR6" and at the back of the paper he wrote,"Apply for I751 90 days before send anniversary".
What does cr6 mean? He didn't explain that. Should I be worried? My husband said give it time. I gave my medical and the officer opened right in front of us and even joked and said that I'm not "crazy" & told my husband I'm a keeper. We all laughed. It was a good, positive interview. Very smooth with no problems.

I never had access to my i485 because of error validation but now it's saying my case doesn't exist. I can't add it and it was removed from my .gov account.

Hey, I have same error issue and case is missing poof **** * trick. Many Feb filers do, you are not alone. So do not worry about that.

CR6 means you were approved or will be approved for the conditional green card. Everything sounds good, seems the dude legit just went on vacation and forgot.

Ignore the T2 monkeys. Since you have the **** * glitch just file an SR online saying you did not get the document yet and someone will actually look at the file. Or infopass is best bet. In my case the SR came back that my case is still queued for an interview and to just wait for interview scheduled.

Again your case aint missing, just USCIS is giving us feb folks a fun time.

I submitted two SRs and according to the egov website, they responded yesterday. I did not get an email or anything. Is it supposed to be an email?

Hi. Have heard anything yet? This is my 3rd week and nothing. I thought I would've gotten my GC by now.
