Also my appoinment for biometrics for my I-765 is scheduled on 08/23 but I did an early walkin on the 15th and they let me I sent a copy of the receipt using fax too but I?m not sure if I should mail everything to the Uscis since I wasnt sure if everything was faxed and sent properly...

Notification / online status mess
Notification and online status for my case are all over the place. Today I received an email update saying "We are still working on your case. You don't have to do anything at the moment." It also said the last update to my case was made on August 9. I checked in both online portals: myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov has no updates since July 12, and just "we received your case / fingerprint review completed". egov.uscis.gov says "we scheduled an interview", for which I also received the snail mail notification in late July. 🤷
Hopefully the interview appointment next week will be for real and all will sort itself out then!AOS from F1 OPT, full packet, c(9)

Same situation here. I will be pissed if they cancel the interview at the last minute like I read in one case here.

AOS Work
Hey All
My wife is undergoing an AOS after being here and marrying me on a TN work visa. We have filed and are awaiting the work permit. She has received a job offer and is worried that her documents will not be enough for the I-9 requirements. Our lawyer told us that we can not file to expedite her work permit until after a set number of days after we filed, but I am seemingly found differing opinions online. Can anyone tell us their experience or give any advice?

All she has to do is call USCIS and place a request to expedite with a Tier 2 rep. Get the confirmation number. They should post it on the website. They will tell her she will get a response in the mail asking her for evidence. You don't have to wait for that to arrive. You just fax the job offer to this fax # 1-816-251-2290 Attention I-765/I-131 Expedite Team
Done. Make sure that she places the expedite request for BOTH the EAD and Advance Parole. That way she will get the combo card. We've seen that often times if you only request to expedite the EAD, then they only approve the EAD. So request both. Do not worry. You only have to provide evidence for the EAD. It's fine. Do it first thing on Monday morning.

On August 6 I got the status update of card under production. The card was in my hand after another 7 days. Hopefully this information helps you. I did try to call them to check if they received the fax correctly after i sent it but they told me that i can check only after I dont see any update for another week or so.
I called Uscis today and was told I would have to wait for 60days until they can actually update everything in the system. I only just wanna call to see if they did in fat receive my paperworks. I hope I will hear back from them or at least see anything in process that fast. Some people keep telling me that expediting right after you send out the forms would get us no where or losing jobs wouldnt be a good reason to have things expedited but I still hope they would consider my case.
Crossing my fingers now for all the best things to come

And we can do this even if we are within the processing window? Our lawyer (whom we trust) told us that we need to wait a set number of days before we can file for expedition.
I wonder why we are getting conflicting information from our legal counsel (whom we've agreed to pay a set amount before we started) How long does the expedition normally take?

Your lawyer probably means "it's too early in your case to submit a Service Request or SR because you are still within processing times". See, before the switched to the new processing times, they would tell you as of August 1st, 2018 we are from processing cases with priority date of 01-31-18. They would entertain SRs if your priority date was 01-30-18 or earlier. That option is no longer available. You are never going to be outside of processing times.
I have no reason to lie to you or misinform you. Those who have followed my advice to expedite and how to do it, have had their EAD/AP approved.
