I think it takes 10 days for you to have it. If I were you I'd do exactly what USCFS advised so you can get it and mail it. You can create account in one of the online fax account or better still look for a UPS store near you and get their fax number... Your fax from IRS will be faxed to the UPS store fax machine that you provided them with and you pick it up from the UPS store. You can even use the opportunity to mail it from the UPS store after picking it up. I hope after they receive it they'll approve the EAD.

    • Have you June people gotten your EADs? How long did it take to get an update and to get it approved, in the mail, etc? I filed July 13 2018

          Congratulations!
I called the USCIS to ask if they got my documents they requested, and she told me they are working on may fillers. I think she didn't know what she was talking about.
She probably said that because that's what the uscis website says.

The way I understand it is that Requests for Initial evidence reset the clock/your PD and requests for additional evidence do not.

                • Interview scheduled

                  Hi everyone,

As an update, I received the official mail today saying that my interview is on December 13, in the Fairfax, VA office. I am going to do my medical exams tomorrow. After that, it is a matter of organizing all our documents in folders.

I can?t believe it has been so fast, i saw tha the DC office has quite some long processing times.

                  • Really upset

So I called USCIS yesterday because my husband and I sent in his AOS packet 150 days ago. I had to call him on three-way so the Tier 2 officer would answer all my questions and it turns out after 5 months his work permit paperwork has not even been assigned to an officer. We had an RFE that we sent in almost 80 days ago and still have not received a response. What sucks is that my husband had been calling in but he didn't know the right questions to ask and the officers had been pretty much stonewalling him. This whole situation really pisses me off and leaves me very little faith in USCIS. The only reason I called in because when he called previously to request expedite the officer told him his case was in normal processing time and to pretty much wait his turn and refused to take his expedite request. WTF! So I called yesterday to see why and the main reason they would not accept an expedite request was if a case was already with an officer. They're also still going over our paperwork we sent in with our RFE. I'm just really upset with how this whole system works. You would think with all the fees we're required to pay the process and system would be a lot more streamlined.

08/22/2018: USCIS received paperwork for RFIE
11/15/2018: Received email stating USCIS is working on expedite request although I made the request on the 8th
12/12/2018: Case ready to be scheduled for interview!!!

That is exactly the reason I have been present every time we have needed to call USCIS. If they sense that they can get you off the phone quickly, THEY WILL. Good for you for supporting your husband through this process.

                          • Can someone tell me how long it takes from the update "card is in production" to actually getting the card in hand? This is in regards to the i-765. Based on what I've seen I think 5 to 8 days?

Also, when i485 shows interview is ready for schedule, I'm assuming the actual interview is months away ? I'm in Houston. I wanted to travel soon so just checking
