  • Expedite...Congress/Senator help

    Hi,

Anyone trying expedites lately? Not sure what the issue is but I have reached 1 congressman and 2 senators offices lately and sll have said that its 4-6 weeks for USCIS to look at expedites now. No longer does the 48hr rule work. One senator is so busy that its 2 weeks for them to look at your casework even then work on it. They said only family deaths is their top priority now.

Is this an issue in general in most states?

You should tell your spouse be your behalf and do the expedite. Did you have a job? If yes you can expedite. UScitizenFillingforspouse gave me very good advice. I am currently working OPT, my ead expires on 6/27. I asked my employer to write a letter about financial loss to the company if they have to terminate my work. And my husband helped me call the Tier 2 officer on 6/6 and on 6/14 my new card is being produced. This is my own experience and USCFFS helped me a lot.
