Gap between opt and

hi all. my opt will end at the end of this month and when I check the receipt on USCIS website, it still shows "As of April 13, 2018, we completed our review of your fingerprints and are working on your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization". most likely i will have a gap between when my opt ends and when i get my new ead. what should I do in this case? i'm not a STEM major and currently working on opt.

you have to stop working until you receive EAD - your employer will ikely remove you from payroll soon. You can request to have you EAD expedited to avoid job interruption and severe financial loss. You need to do that now as you don't have a lot of time left.

Get a letter from your employer indicating that you will be terminated upon expiration of your EAD.
Call 1-800-375-5283 press 2 when prompted for pending cases then continue to press 2 until a live agent comes on. Explain the situation & ask to speak with a L2 Officer who will then advise u to forward the letter from your employer to a fax number or mail it. Do that ASAP.
