Hi, my AOS interview has been schedule for 7/18/2018. My physical (693 form) was issued on7/7/2017, that would be over a year ago. Do I need to get an updated 693 ? would a get RFEd if I dont ?

You probably may need to do a new one but if I were you, I wouldn't go about doing so until USCIS recommends it. Medicals are costly and it's probably a little over a year by the time you'd be ready for your interview. Some officers accept it so it all depends on the officer. So far you haven't gotten a RFE for it so wait until the interview for the officer to request it or not. However, if you have extra money to spend like that then by all means go ahead and do a new one.
      Good luck!

I agree. Do NOT spend the money unless they ask you too.

I called USCIS about that because mine was expiring as well and they told me I don?t have to unless they asked for it prior to the interview. All the best!

Thanks for the info. I hope they dont. I have the cash to spend but would hate it to go to waste.

I absolutely agree with you. It?s hard to see cash go to waste but also you have to be cautious if you want to be approved on the spot and get over with the process. Immigration officers are different. Some will ask for it and some won?t. If you don?t mind waiting for your green card if they ask for a new one then you are good. The process is slow as it is right now so if I was you I would target to be approved on the spot.

I just looked through your previous posts. If I read correctly, your priority date is 08/14/17. Even though your I-693 was completed on 07/07/2017, it actually expires on 08/13/2018. That is 365 days from the date that USCIS received it.
You have 1 year to submit your I-693 from the date the exam was completed. Then, the exam remains valid for another year from the date USCIS received it for adjudication purposes. In other words,

                  07-07-2017 I-693 completed
                  08-14-2017 I-693 received by USCIS
07-06-2018 1 year deadline to submit to USCIS - you used up this 1 year window right away.
08-13-2018 1 year deadline to adjudicate your case

My hunch is that whoever your adjudicator is, probably has cases prioritized by I-693 expiration date. That's likely why you were scheduled for 07-18-2018. I would not get another one. You should shoot to be approved on the spot. So don't hold back when putting together concrete evidence of bona fide marriage.

I would recommend spending some time reviewing the Table of contents found within this link https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...iew-tips/page4

Thanks for taking the time to respond. You are right, I just check the USCIS website and it agrees with what you just told me.

Starting June 1, 2014, USCIS will limit the validity period for all Forms I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, to one year from the date of submission to USCIS. Applicants m

You're welcome! Of course, it took me reading USCIS' wording on it several times, with a follow-up explanation from azblk to grasp it. They could just say - it's good for 2 years. But no, because that would make it crystal clear and not confusing.

8-13 is a lucky day. Ride the wave.

You'll also want to be aware that the tuberculosis requirement is changing drastically. It used to be a skin test but is now a blood test.

That is inaccurate. The blood test is the go-to test IF you have been vaccinated with the BCG vaccine which causes a false positive result with the TB skin test. Therefore, it makes no sense to administer the skin test and waste time on it.

I personally think they should just do the blood test on immigrants since most of us had BCG. It's a waste of money to go back and pay for x-ray just to prove we don't have TB. Medical exam is already expensive. Luckily for me, my test didn't show positive even though I had BCG as a baby.
