Ready for Testing and Interview

Marriage-based AOS

I received an email with the new status for the I-485 with the new status "Testing and Interview". I have a some questions, if someone can help me:
- What's mean Testing? because what I have read in this forums is only ready for interview, nothing else.
- I have to take the medical examination I-693? Or is only if I they ask me for when I get the letter with the appoiment

The "Testing and Interview" stage is the generic name for it. If you're doing AOS then the interview part is all you need to be worried about. The testing part comes in for those who are applying for naturalization, as an English and civics test is included as part of the interview process.

You will receive your interview appointment letter 4-6 weeks before your interview, on it, it will tell you to ensure you bring your I-693 to the interview with you if you haven't already submitted it. For me, once I received my interview letter, I went out and had my medical done.

Most ISOs do not edit their templates. "Testing" pertains to naturalization only. I would guess that you are about to be scheduled. There is a tools outage scheduled for tonight - 2 hours. I am anticipating there will be another wave of interviews scheduled after the outage. Those will be for the end of July or early August.
