  • Houston AOS filer

    hello AOS filers!

Is there anyone here also filing from Houston? I've been reading reviews that they're taking forever to process AOS

Mine is still on normal processing time, any insight on rough timeline?

    Thank you in advance!

Same! I sent everything last December and they received it on 12/31/17.
According to the website, AOS based on family looks to be taking a while...

Holy crap have been to infopass? Are you doing it on your own or with an attorney?

No I haven?t, I was pretty much told it was pointless because they would tell me the same as they do over the phone or through a service request, they actually just responded to one I did in February, right before they updated the website, they just said my case is in line for an interview appt. I?ve seen people that are waiting from sept 2016. Houston is sooo so slow.

When it comes to the actual I-485 go through infopass. They'll be handling your interview anyways, the service line just gives you what you see on the computer even the L2 folks. Not to make you feel bad but I think you would've had an interview if you'd have made an infopass appointment before the site updated.

IMO the website update just gives them a reason to delay things like the administration wants and with the Employment based AOS interviews its going much slower than it should.

Yeah, maybe. Just didn?t bother since I kept seeing people from sept-oct still waiting also.
I kept calling and raising SRs at the beginning but after you?ve been waiting for a year and a half you kinda give up.
Mines marriage based, so it?s even slower than the employment based.

I'm curious to know what the heck they're doing? There's no way an agency should be that far behind its ridiculous. Embarrassing and frustrating as tax payers.

Absolutely. It does not make sense it taking this long. I believe you are Feb 2017, we are March 2017. Its madness this whole process!
