I just checked processing time for I485 in my field office and it is 14 months to 33.5 months. 😮😮. How accurate it is? It was literally 7 months to 13 months just two weeks ago.

SOOOOOO the data is not there. What you see on the processing times website is an estimate, and it might as well be a random number, because truth is they don't know.
So I would focus on the first number of the blue box. The second number, I would ignore it. And the specific processing times for employment based & family based, I would just ignore that. If you look up several field offices, you will see that these processing times are generic. Several field offices have it.
12 Months to 23.5 Months Employment-based adjustment applications July 26, 2016
11.5 Months to 26 Months Family-based adjustment applications May 09, 2016
If you look at Jacksonville, FL, the blue box shows 4.5 months to 15 months. And then,
12 Months to 23.5 Months Employment-based adjustment applications July 26, 2016
11.5 Months to 26 Months Family-based adjustment applications May 09, 2016
Cleveland, OH - 9.5 months to 22 months.
12 Months to 23.5 Months Employment-based adjustment applications July 26, 2016
11.5 Months to 26 Months Family-based adjustment applications May 09, 2016
Raleigh, NC - 6.5 months to 16.5 months
12 Months to 23.5 Months Employment-based adjustment applications July 26, 2016
11.5 Months to 26 Months Family-based adjustment applications May 09, 2016
I am not going to copy paste them all, but do you see the pattern here? And then you get Level 1 and Level 2 officers telling you the Raleigh, NC office is processing cases as of May 9th, 2016. That could not be more inaccurate. May 9th, 2016 is the cutoff for considering your case outside of processing times. It is not the date they are currently processing. Their rationale makes me question their intelligence and ability to reason.
By the way, level 2 officers are not immigration officers. Confirmed. Called USCIS today and was able to confirm that.
All the best,
USCFFS
PS: here are the charts where the processing times come from. https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-...ion-forms-data
One last thing, the Atlanta office was affected by this system glitch that prompted the system to skip 2017 cases, and started scheduling January 2018 filers for employment based interviews. This went on for a few months. By now, the system glitch appears to be corrected BUT that whole thing just made the wait for 2017 filers much longer.Last edited by UScitizenFilingforspouse; 06-26-2018, 08:09 PM.

The new process has been underway for 6 weeks maybe? Give it some time it will improve. They are following two rules.
?We now show case processing times as a range. The first number is the time it takes to complete 50% of cases (the median). The second number is the time it takes to complete 93% of cases.?
?We have posted a ?Receipt date for a case inquiry? to show when you can inquire about your case. The ?Receipt date for a case inquiry? is the upper end of the range (converted to a date). If your receipt date is before the ?Receipt date for a case inquiry?, you can submit an ?outside normal processing time? service request online.?
So theoretically if they are reading off a piece of paper. They are truly reading what their boss gave them. Now the question becomes why they chose the case inquiry date to be the 93% level and not like 65% who knows, something one should ask their senator.

Hello UScitizenFilingforspouse,
Where did you find this info about system glitch?
I filed AOS/EAD/AP in October/17.
Should have received EAD/AP by now...but no answers, no nothing...
So frustrating.

This happened a lot. They system skipped from the next PD in the queue ( 2017 and in some field offices 2016) and jumped to cases field in January 2018. Brilliant, right? That's USCIS for you right there. It may still be happening but people aren't posting about it, as USCIS has cancelled such interview appointments when people called frantically asking why an employment based interview had been scheduled instead a marriage based one.
