I mean every IO is different, every IO?s working style is different. My lawyer keeps telling me not to be afraid, it?ll be fine but he was kind of surprised about the amount of the questions we answered on the papers.

Also I felt the same thing about he wasn?t telling the truth about finishing it quickly. If he?d ask me those questions verbally, it could take less time than writing on the paper. I also could be a person with less English knowledge but luckily I?m good enough to answer them.

My lawyer also said that it should be on the security check. He asked me again if I had arrested before either in my hometown or in the US. I said no, never. Do you guys know how this security check process working?

I have an idea about it. Now every IO sending their cases for security check after the interview. There must be another department for security check and of course they have hundreds of cases to check. After they do security check on the cases, they send it to another person or department to approve or deny. Feeling like IO?s are writing on the cases or telling those people about what they?re feeling about the couples they had interviewed. Then cases go to approval or denial. What do you guys think? Does it make sense?
think it's too soon for u to be worried and feeling like this. Wait 2 weeks. Most people get their cards within that time whilst others wait a month. Why would they deny you when you have a bonafide marriage? Even if they feel to deny, they can't without following protocol so the worst that can happen is a letter of NOID which still leaves u with a chance to prove the relationship some more(which u can because it's real).
Relax. It's recommended for approval. I haven't read or came across anyone who said the officer went back on his words. They eventually get the card. Worrying will not help your case be approved or happen faster.
Thank God u made it through the interview and enjoy your spouse. Don't hurt the relationship over "what if's".

That?s true. He didn?t say there?s a problem or something else. Also like I said, starting the interview with questions on the paper and get seperated made us very anxious. Other than that the IO was very serious and all these things turned that small room into a hell for us lol. Now we have to wait and see what is their decision. My lawyer says we?ll get the decision till tonight but I don?t really think so. Also I want to believe the IO, he wouldn?t say ?I will recommend for approval? if he thought there was something wrong. All the papers he took actually very good papers to show we have a bona fide marriage. He took a copy of our rings? receipt. Who would spend $1100 for a **** marriage wedding bands which I have a mark on my ring finger and never took it off?

We?re waiting for now and I?ll keep you guys posted. I thank everybody so much who answered my questions and made me feel better with helps. I appreciate ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

You will be fine. Some people's IO would tell them their case had to be under review or that they can't tell them anything at that time. You have hope because he said he's going to recommend it for approval.

1100 on wedding bands is no big deal. People spend plenty more to use others SSN, papers. Now faking 401k, health papers, beneficiary papers, checking accounts, other accounts. Yah thats a lotttt.

You will be fine. Truly I bet PoTUS and Melania see where the toilet is situated differently as well.

Like Kaylip said the worst that can happen is that you get a notice of intent to deny. Here's the thing about those. You actually want a NOID because you have 30 days to respond. RFEs take longer.
I think your anxiety is more a result of getting separated. It's an intimidating experience. But you got through it. Since the ISO said he would recommend it for approval, then hang on to that.

Everyone who has a true marriage will prevail. Just hang in there.

Correct, that?s what we are waiting now. We are actually waiting them to approve it but if they send NOID or anything else, I still can prove our marriage as IO did not look through all the papers. We had our employment verification papers, letter and bills from my in laws, our movie, concert and comicon tickets, honeymoon photos etc. still can be shown as a proof. If they need some letters from friends or family, all of my husband?s side know me. I can ask for letters from at least 5-6 people. We see each other every holiday and special days. So, even we get NOID, I still have something to do. If they wanna come home and see us, they?re absolutely welcomed. If they want another interview, absolutely we go and do what they want us to do as a proof of our marriage. I don?t think they can do harder interview that the first one lol

Thanks again USCFFS, you helped me a lot. If you have any other ideas, please feel free to share with me. You can send me pm whenever you want.

                  Nsygn,

you could actually submit additional evidence of bona fide marriage. You may bring it with you to an infoPass appointment. The officer will likely say "We do not need any additional evidence of bona fide marriage at this time, but you may submit it if you want to". I just learned yesterday from someone who did not send evidence of bona fide marriage with his AOS applications. The only difference is that the interview was scheduled shortly after filing, and they showed up to the interview with just a few documents. I suggested to them it would be in their best interest to go through the two tables of contents that I posted here, and to follow the format and get creative with staging evidence. Well, they came up with 11 exhibits. They followed my recommendation of using complete sentences to list the evidence and explain what the evidence is proof of. They also did not have a least.

I got an email from the husband yesterday letting me know how the InfoPass appointment had gone. They inquired about the I-765/I-131 and they were told it would be adjudicated within the next 60 days. That's not good enough, as they interviewed back on May 7th 2018. Then, they mentioned they would like to submit all the evidence they had brought with them. The ISO said "We do not need any additional evidence of bona fide marriage at this time, but you may submit it if you want to". So they did. The ISO gave them a "Document receipt" form to fill out. I am quoting him " it was a facsimile/ photo copy paper titled " Documentation Receipt". We were made to fill 2 of these (1page) forms and were given back 1 form with the stamp "USCIS Received, Chicago Illinois, Date, time and internal control number" for our record".

In this process, your experience is heavily dependent upon who interviews you. The ISO may choose to accept all the evidence you may bring to the interview OR not accept any at all. You have the right to gently insist. Why would you do that? Well, if you think about it, the ISO will adjudicate without you present AND only with the evidence he/she has in front of them. They won't care you had a full box of evidence with you. That evidence was never introduced into the record. Thus, it won't be considered.

                  I personally would:

                  1. Call USCIS to alert them you had the interview on MM/DD/YY and that your I-765/I-131 combo card was not adjudicated. Place a request to expedite it on that basis, and throw in financial hardship on top of it. They will likely deny it. That's fine. You kindda want them to.

                  2. Make infopass appointment and submit all the evidence you have and any additional evidence that you can gather until the InfoPass appointment.

                  3. Run to your Senator right away, and ask them to inquire on your request to expedite your EAD/AP and the status of your case. Tell them, you submitted additional evidence, etc.

You have been of great help. I?m pretty sure everyone here including me appreciates you.

In my case, we never submitted any evidence of bonafide marriage because Lawyer told us to wait until the interview. Can I schedule an Infopass and do that? The only reason I think this might be impossible is my file might still be in NBC even though my status is ?case is ready to be scheduled for an interview?. My field office is Atlanta.

At this point I think u should wait until your interview. Your case is already ready to be sent off to the field office where the officer who would interview you will have your case. When he/she looks at it they will ask for additional evidence and u take it from there. If it's ready to be scheduled for an interview it means that the officers at NBC already took a look at it and placed it in a filing room to be sent off to the field office.
Call USCIS and ask them for the last update on their system for your i485. They can tell u if or when it was or has been transferred to the field office. From there, u can decide if to do an infopass or not but I personally wouldn't do it.

                          Received Letters

                          Hello again,

                          Thank God!!

Today, after I bet with my cousin on what?s gonna happen after interview, we said that I will take her to breakfast if they ask for second interview which I was really thinking that they?re gonna ask for second interview. She said no, they?ll approve our case.

                          But...

We got 2 letters today. My husband got approval on I-130 and I got approval on I-485. His says his petition is approved and mine says Welcome to the United States of America. We?re approved guys!! They?ll send my card finally!! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

We thank everybody who helped us and prayed for us, we really appreciate for every little thing this website and you guys my second family did on our case. I didn?t really expect to get the approval notices so quickly but thank God we got it quickly. Now it?s time to get the card and be careful to get it and sign otherwise they might send it back lol

I pray for everyone who is waiting for their interview, waiting for approval and having conflicts on their case and relationship. Hopefully everyone will get their card and won?t have any problems ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป God bless you all guys ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโค๏ธโค๏ธ

Definitely you did! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Now we feel like a bird ready to fly. I lost my mind when I see I-485 notice as I thought I received I-130 notice like my husband. He sent me the photo of the paper over the phone and I was like crazy lol

Sure, even thought every case is unique, now other applicants can compare their case with mine and feel positive. Even though it was a rough interview process, I believe this will bring us an easy 10 year card (maybe not) lol ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I thank you again and hoping that everyone who deserves this will be citizen easily although all the negative regulations and laws going on right now ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Congratulations! If you have been married for two years or longer on the day your case is adjudicated, then you will get a 10 year green card.
