apply for a credit card, pay it off on time. rent an apartment or lease a vehicle etc..
This is strictly an opinion and should not be misconstrued as legal advice. The use of this information is strictly at your own risk.

If you have no credit, the first thing you can do is get a secured credit card. That means if you want a $500 limit you need to deposit $500 with them first and they pay it back every month. You can get these with no credit, I would recommend 2-4 of them with small balances. After about 9 months you should be able to get an unsecured credit card which does not require a deposit. I would suggest charging at least $25 on each every month to build a credit history.

Another option is having your spouse apply for joint credit with you on it. If you are added as a authorized user it will not report to the credit bureau.

Rental leases usually do not report to the bureau so it will not build your credit

I agree with ChicagoVB. Start with an unsecured credit card and when some companies offer u credit cards through the mail, accept it, use it and pay on time every month. U will build credit from there. By using multiple credit cards u can have a good credit score without 7 months tops. Make sure u have a stable job because if u miss these payments it will report negative on your credit and u don't want that.

I?m an authorized user on my husband?s card and have credit karma on my phone. I can see my credit score, if it?s increasing or decreasing... Right now it?s fair because we changed bought a new bed with credit. It dropped my husband?s credit score, that?s okay because we bought the credit on his name. But then it dropped my credit score as well. I don?t know why lol

It's not too much of a good idea to add your spouse as an authorized user to get a credit card. It's better for spouses to have separate finances so when one partner falls, the other one is in a good financial standing with credit bureaus in order for the couple achieve their goals materialisticly.
Like right now there is nothing negative on my credit and my spouse and I are working on building it. We're doing it together but just on my credit. Certain purchases will be on his credit while others will be on mine so when we purchase another vehicle, house or any major asset we each take ownership of one so as to not put our credit scores at the risk of one falling just because of the other person's purchases or bills.
Combining finances is not always a good idea in marriage. The couple can work together to make things happen by each having their own thing and bringing it together by contribution for the end goals.
It would make sense for one partner to have good credit that way if the couple needs an apartment or anything necessary one covers the other financially. Then there's divorce. I mean we all have intentions of "til death us part" but life happens. Sad but it's reality

Good points. In my case I?m better with money than my husband. We got a joint a count that I mainly Control. I have good credit history with 0 missed credit card payments. He doesn?t. I added him on one of my credit cards as an authorized user just to boost his credit. I still control it and he rarely uses the credit card anyways. I just use it on his behalf.

This is the actual reason why I?m added as an authorized user. Just to start it and show it at the interview. I?m now thinking of getting a new credit card by myself and changing the joint one 😄😄 kaylip has a very good point. My credit score dropped as we applied to a credit for a new bed. His credit application affected my credit score negatively which is not a good idea to do it.

First, you have to get your state ID/driver's license and SSN. Credit bureaus use those two forms of ID to track your credit history.

If you really want to get ahead financially, consider living off 1 salary and saving/investing the 2nd salary. It happens fast if you do it that way. Look up Suzie Orman. Read through her stuff. You will find her insight useful.

Did you only just raise SR or also expedited your case?

I raised an SR but it was never assigned to an officer. It was useless.
