Have to renew my work permit. Since I'm still waiting for an interview date. I live in Dallas. My P.D. is July 2017. My question is. Filling out the work permit will be the exact info that I put on my first application. Will the only difference be that I mark that I am renewing application box?. Along with the copy of my work permit and pictures should I send a copy of I-485 letter. ?

I also am waiting for interview since July 2017. I also just applied for renewal on June 18, 2018 and it was accepted. So here is what we filled out and what we submitted with it. First of all use their MOST recently updated I765 form.
1. Fill in all applicable sections. In #20 eligibility category place (c) (9) as you indicated you applied for I485.
2. We submitted ALL these
I-94 with travels and dates on another doc
Front and back of current I765 card
2 passport sized photos
Copies of all I797 receipts for current I765, both from initial package and the one that came when the actual card was sent.
I485, I130 and print out of their case status details ( my hubster is a tad bit meticulous in a great way).
We prayed then mailed off small package using priority mail.
No need to send fees, we didn't, as the renewal is still attached to our pending 1485 application - we are waiting on interview.
I hope the details help. Our renewal was accepted and last update said our biometrics ( the one taken from initial collective application in 2017) was reviewed.

How far in advance should you apply?
We got our EAD in April 2018 and our status changed to "ready for interview to be scheduled" but after hearing about everyone's long wait times we want to be prepared.
Should we apply around the same time of our original application? It took 5 months to get the EAD/AP so I am assuming it will be the same timeline11/20/17 - PD - Marriage Based AOS
12/10/17 - Walk in Biometrics
4/10/18 - EAD & AP Approved
4/18/18 - Interview ready to be scheduled
4/19/18 - Combo Card in hand
10/22/18 - Interview has been scheduled
11/26/18 - Interview Completed
12/6/18 - GC in hand

Originally posted by Hotaru-GraceThe USCIS website states that individuals should apply for EAD renewal within or at most 120 days of the date of first issued EAD. I am not sure the application will be accepted if sent much earlier than 120 days.
So by estimation you may apply for your EAD renewal by October or November 2018.
Hubby and I applied for renewal 102 days prior to the expiration of my existing card which will expire on October 4, 2018. We sent off our renewal package on June 18, 2018. I shared details on what hubby and I included in the package in this thread.
My hubster is the UsCitizen and he is quite intrigued, involved, and meticulous about each application we submit and the overall USCIS process. So, he signs his name as the one who prepared the EAD application, which doubles as proof of our definitely bonafide marriage. Either ways it's good to have someone look over your documents and package before you submit.
All the best.

My Work permit expires this October, I'm not currently working but need it to renew my DL.
Still waiting for an interview date. I hear that Dallas Field office is going really slow, so will definitely mail my renewal package as soon as possible.
again thank you the attention given to my post.
God bless
