  • Need Help : Fax Issue to Expedite AP

    Hello,

On June, we have requested to expedite My Wife's AP application due to emergency medical Travel through Level 2 Officer on phone. After 10 Days, we received the MAIL asking for supporting documents through FAX to 816-251-2290. As soon as I received the letter within 1 hour I have been trying to fax my documents but every single time I am receiving busy tone.
Trying since three days at different locations such as FedEx , UPS, Staples, Locals at different times such as morning 8:30am, Afternoon, evening and even night. I have tried to send at least 154 times already. BUT No result, and just one response "No Response/Busy".

I will be grateful If anyone can guide me what are my other alternatives to send supporting documents for AP to expedite? As our travel date is within 14 days, we are really worried now.

For the reference, We filed for I-131 & I-765 in Mid-January 2018, so its been more than 5 months already. I have tried contacting Level 2 officer but they said there is no alternative to send requested documents except Fax provided.

I will really appreciate if you can share your experience and knowledge.

    Thank You.

Send it 2 day service USPS with a tracking number. Keep in mind though that regardless of which method you choose to do so you may not get something within 14days especially because today is a Holiday and they don't work on the weekends. Good luck to you...

This is just a thought (might be crazy) but worse case scenario USC stays behind to wait for the AP/EAD card then fly's out to meet up. Others may want to chime in on that.

Cannot FLY OUT before AP is approved a letter is in hand. Make an infopass you may need to do an emergency AP in any scenario.

I agree with Cali2018. You can make an infopass appointment. There might be an additional $575 fee, as this AP would be separate from your EAD/AP application. This emergency AP is usually approved by the director of the field office. You can walk out of there with your travel document the same day. Alternatively, they may just call the NBC and request for your combo card to be adjudicated.

I have an infopass appointment on monday. Is there additional $575 fee for the emergency AP? Even if we filed concurrently 5 months ago? One more question, if we request Emergency AP will my original AP Application will be denied? Thank you for your guidance.

I agree with you and I ,USC, traveling after her. I will surely wait for EAD/AP Combocard I hope it arrives soon. Thank you for the suggestion.

Again horrible suggestion. They use flight data, the second shes on that flight her AOS is bye bye.
Yes be prepared with the $575, if they want to spare you they will decide after they hear your case, its possible.

You are totally at the mercy of USCIS in this scenario its up to them to decide whats an emergency and how it will work.

Like Cali2018 said, under no circumstances should your wife leave the US without her AP in hand.

The original AP application will not be affected. Have the fee in your back pocket. Generating a travel document is a lot of work, though. That's why most field offices will just pick up the phone, and get someone from the NBC to adjudicate the combo card.

You could also reach out to your Senator in addition to the InfoPass appointment

Sure, if her expedite AP combocard don?t come on time. She will leave the country with emergency AP document from USCIS Field office if they approve during Infopass. I understand she should not leave without AP in order to protect AOS application. I really hope we get it soon.
