I sent out my EAD renewal yesterday via UPS overnight delivery and it got to Chicago this morning. What happens next? Do I get a notification on my USCIS account telling me they?ve received my documents or I get a mail?

I submitted a service request for my I-485 cause my PD is July 2017 I got an email this morning saying it was assigned to an officer and it?s currently in the processing time. It?s ctazy cause I?ve not even been scheduled for an interview. Am I the only one that thinks they forgot about applicants who sent in their applications since 2016 and 2017. When I see some who submitted their documents this year complaining that they?ve not been scheduled for interview am like chill out they are people that?s been waiting since 2015-2017. May God help us.

You aren't imagining things. There are people filed in May and June 2018 who are already scheduled for interview. This all started with January 2018 filers.

Unless you filed the G-1145 Notification of petition acceptance, you probably won't get a text. Once you get the I-797, you can consider your EAD automatically extended for 180 days.

Thank you for your response and I appreciate your response to others too and I?ve noticed you?re always ready to help in this website with timely and accurate responses.

Do you mean the G- 1145 that I submitted at first when I sent my documents last year? Cause I currently receive emails and text messages. Do I just need to wait for a text?

        You are welcome.

You will definitely get your I-797. Sending the renewal application with the G-1145 is a way to force them to send you a text. You still might, though.
