I-693 courtesy letter vs. the "still reviewing your case" update

Hi everyone,

See my timeline in the signature.
I was under the impression that I-693 courtesy letter implicitly means that all the other forms/evidence/documents have been reviewed and found to be complete. I received my I-693 courtesy letter right around the biometrics appointment. But, yesterday my I-765 and I-485 cases are updated as
"We reviewed your biometrics and are still processing your case
You do not need to do anything at this time. We will let you know if we need anything else from you as we continue to review your case."
The date for this update is stated as July 11 - the date of my biometrics appointment.

Has anyone here encountered both of these updates ... later followed by an RFE?

Usually, persons who receive the courtesy letter don't receive RFE's...When they receive the courtesy letter it's after the officers looked through the files and made everything is accurate and ready to be sent off to the next office (field office)

That is what I thought. But then the most recent update includes the statement "...we will contact you if we need more information from you." That is what I am wondering about.

It's just a generic message sent out to most people. Don't worry about it

They are doing security checks currently and youll be at ready to schedule interview soon. Curteosy letter means i864 accepted and everything else passed. Call them early August or do an SR and ask are you queued for an interview.

Could be months to get picked to go to fied office after that point.

I received that letter too! No REF but still no interview scheduled....

Security check. Oh right!! Forgot about that.
Fingers crossed for the "case ready for interview.. " message soon. My field office Charleston, SC is pretty fast.
