I will be submitting forms I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131 concurrently soon and I plan on paying for everything with a credit card. I have read the G-1450 form and I got a bit spooked by the fact that they might not be able to process it the first time and reject the entire package. Has anyone paid with a credit card? Were there any issues? I was thinking about calling the bank beforehand an let them know there will be a charge in that amount coming so they don't flag it. Ultimately, if it's too risky, I could just pay by check. Thanks!

I am glad you read the G1450 closely. In my opinion pay with check since you have that option. Just make sure you listed the exact sum of fees. I believe you do not pay for the 131 oh well double check fees before sending. Either ways if you still use credit card then being proactive and contacting the bank ahead is excellent.

It's important to ensure the correct amount can be covered in the first try, because USCIS won't try to charge the card a second time and will send your forms back rejected, which just adds more time to your stress. I don't think there is any risk in doing it with a CC as long as you follow the instructions closely and the payment will for sure go through first time.Marriage AOS - 2018

I strongly suggest you to pay with check because there was a thread while back saying her credit card was lost/stolen (same card she used for filing) and credit card company had to stop that card and reissue and mail new card to this person. Imagined if this happen... and USCIS tries to charge it and it's declined.... it will delay your filing process.City applied from: Los Angeles, CA
