I have a pending green card application through marriage to a USC, my priority date is July 2017.

I recently applied for my work authorization renewal and I was sent a letter by National Benefits Center to go for a biometric fingerprinting.

Have anyone ever gone for a biometric in order to get a renewal of their Employment Authorization Document?

Hmm, this is certainly a first for me. However, it is not entirely uncalled for. It's possible that your initial background check cleared really quickly and now that background check is too old. USCIS considers 6 months to be "old".

I would just go ahead and do a walk-in and get it over with. What I have noticed, though, is that filing a renewal application tends to trigger/prompt the system to schedule your interview. If that's the case, then your background checks will start now and if your interview is scheduled, they may be done by then. I am sure you've seen how some cases are held up for review after the interview due if it's been a year or longer since the priority date.

Have you been married for 2 years yet?

Would you add your timeline to your signature?

    All the best,

I am sorry that this was asked again. I recently applied for EAD renewal and did not get any request for a re-do of biometrics. Instead I got an interview date and green card approval. My hubz and I assumed that we got the interview date before the one year anniversary of the biometrics.

I know everything does not make sense, but just do your best to give what is required.

I actually did biometrics for my I-485 and I-765 last year when I first put in my application. This one is asking me to do another biometrics for the work authorization.

I?ve been married for 2 years now and my marriage will be 3 years April next year. I?ve not been scheduled for an interview yet.

My last Biometrics was done August 8 2017 for both I-485 and the I-765. My biometric appointment is actually tomorrow 1pm.

I hope all these renewal makes them schedule me a date for an interview.
