Please see my timeline and give me your thoughts. 7.5 months without work to support your family is INSANE. Awaiting EAD and advanced parole.

Married my USA wife and applied for AOS. I did not submit my medical (i693) with my application as I needed to apply before my visa ended.

    Case recieved: 18 Dec 2017
    Biometrics taken: 22 January 2018
    Inquiery 1: 18 June 2018
    Inquiery 2: 18 July 2018

I would advice you to start contacting Avery one you can:
    1. Get an infopass appointment on your filed office
    2. Contact tor senator and ask for assistance in the case
    3. Contact ombudsman ( they have a form you fill online and they contact you back)
    4. If you have a jo offer you can do an expedite request

Hope this helps. I?d be happy to give you more directions if needed, I had to contact everyone before I got my approval for EAD.

      Here's what I would do:
      1. Call and request to expedite your EAD. Ask for a tier 2 officer. Your PD is 12-18-17. Right now the case inquiry date is
01-16-18. Tell them your EAD is outside processing times. They will likely open an SR. INSIST ON EXPEDITING. This is considered USCIS error and that's a reason to expedite. Tell them that is what the USCIS manual says.

      2. Reach out to your Senator and inform them of your situation. Explain it calmly and do not use inflammatory language. Ask them to help you expedite it.

      3. You should also reach out to the Ombudsman. Seems redundant but these entities have to know that USCIS is messing up.

      4. I would even inform the Office of the inspector general. Their contact info is on the website.

I would exploit this USCIS error and try to get your interview expedited.

I had the same situation, I waited for near 8 months to get my EAD.

I went to an infopass an they noticed that I was outside the processing times, they were really helpful review the complete system and even they called the office that was managing the case and they told me that the approval was in the last part of the approval.

This what I think happened to me: Because I send the documents on Nov 2017, they needed the new Tax returns and send me and RFE for that, after that everything move fast. But the problem is that you haven't received one.

The phone calls didn't work for me, as soon as possible get an infopass and continue with the all the recomendations from UScitizenFilingforspouse, PMAngieMS.

By the way, I always had luck finding the infopass appointments the fridays

          Same situation

I filed DEC no EAD yet. Just raised second SR via phone. If I do infopass what should I bring with me?

They had only ask me for the I-797 and the ID, but I always have taken all the documents that I have just in case.

Definitely try to contact everyone mentioned in previous replies. That might not help however. I've been waiting for 10 months (applied in October) despite numerous inquiries, infopass and contacting senator. I also got courtesy letter recently (July 31)

Waiting definitely sucks.. I'm going insane after just 2 months without work (I was a student on F1 visa before).

Based on your timeline, I would say that your case status is about to be updated to "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview". I would not be surprised if your interview is scheduled right after that. It may all happen around the Tools outage that's scheduled for 08-05-18 between 0500 and 1800 ET

Thanks, I really hope for some movement soon! Though I desperately need an EAD (have a job offer starting in September), and I am fine with waiting longer and preparing more for an interview. In my case (20+ years age difference, different cultural/educational backgrounds, and very little evidence submitted with i130/i485 applications) I think it will take some time for them to (hopefully) approve my GC after an interview.

It seems pretty normal these days to wait 7-8 months for the EAD card. I've only been waiting for 5 months, maybe I should stop panicking.....
