  • Missed Interview - Anyone Experience A Missed Interview??!

Hi. My wife and daughter missed out interview. We recently moved, but changed our address the very next day. I completed a service request a few weeks after to inquire about a date, and called a few days ago to confirm they had our correct address. It was confirmed.

However, I just received an email stating our interviews were on 08 August and to await further guidance by mail.

Anyone miss an interview and have it rescheduled? Please help!!!

    Hello DCGuy,

Did you gave address change in USPS as well?
    Note:- Not a legal opinion.

I would contact USCIS immediatly to try and resolve the problem. If it was an administrative issue on their end, and it sounds like it might be, they will likely reschedule your interview. With the current anti-immigration climate, I would resolve this straightaway otherwise you could have your case denied and be called to an immigration court.

Yup. Changed it on USCIS's website, and had a mail forwarded with USPS.

I think its standard policy that they don't forward mail from federal agencies.

Correct! The way the Government see's is it is it's your responsibility to change your mail address with the government entity you've got something pending with not the post office's. I think it's in the forms too.

USCIS messed up and mine was forwarded. Just trying to see if USPS or USCIS at fault here.

It's interesting you received this mail 2 days after your scheduled date, that seems pretty fast for USCIS.

That NTA brouhaha is on hold for now. USCIS likely realizes there are a lot of liabilities that come with implementing such radical measures.

They usually send the letter out the same day the interview was approved or cancelled.in this case as soon as the interview was missed they sent out the notice.
