  • Interview Notice

For those who received their interview notice, is there a c/o under your name?

I find it weird that the letter i'm going to receive has a c/o of my dad's name.

Yep, in my case it was my Mom's. I have heard of others too. I just ignored it as some automated envelope printing glitch or something like that.

Yeah mine had c/o with my dad's name on it, even though he had never been at this address or even in this country.

There was no mention of it at the interview, it's just human error I've assumed.

Mine has the same! In another forum, a Tier 2 officer explained that it's for verification purposes, making sure they're sending it to the correct applicant, as there are applicants with similar/very common names.

When I received that notice, I got goosebumps 'coz my father passed away last year, so I thought it's a 'sign' from him that he's watching over my AOS progress. Lol.

Anyway, good luck to all of us!

              Me too

Yeah, it's kinda hilarious. We received our interview notice on her father's birthday (he's been dead for 15 years), and when she took the letter from the mailbox she thanked her father for blessing us with an interview notice on his birthday. But when she looked at the c/o on the envelope she said "WOWOWOW he really did bless us with this !!!!"

Happened to me, too - my deceased father's. I initially thought it was a mistake made because we're a same-sex couple with two different last names, and my father's is the only male name on the whole package (plus, same last name as mine). But apparently there's at least some sort of system to it. I am not worried about it.

I need help please please please

After My i-130 was approved I recieved a letter that let me know that I would be able to adjust in the US or I could file for i-824 if I wanted to do consulate.
Anyways, I sent my form I-485 and all the documents (i didn?t file i-824) i got one RFE for the i-864 for was outdated. On 8-7-18 my case changed to case ready for interview my PD is december 2016 btw.

                      O8-12-18
I got two letters on the mail nvc welcome letter acl
It appear that I am consular processing. But, i am qualified to adjust in the United States. I am so lost, I did not request to do consular processing.

Btw this is my first post here I am not sure if I am posting in the right place. My apologies.

I would probably go with consular processing. It seems to be faster these days.
