I 485 Birth Certificate

Hi,
I have submitted Birth certificate which I applied after 30 + years as it was not registered while I was born in records when pulled up.


Requested details which I need to revert
The statement must indicate the reason the record does not exist and whether similar records for the time and place are available.

I need help to answer following :
1. Why birth was not registered earlier by my parents even though they are educated enough as it was mandated post 1969 ? - this was never an issue any where even my schooling. I don't know what to mentioned here as reason for not registering immediately after I was born,
Please suggest


2. Whether similar records for the time and place are available ?
not sure what to mention her. please suggest.

I got the non avaialbility certificate( my name correct but there is a dot(.) between my 2 last names instead of spaces[ example if Last name
[abc xyz] and first name is [ uuu yyy] , the NABC has as abc.xyz uuu yyy] is this a problem?.
but the RDO form which recommends late registration stating I was born in this date but not registered in birth register of that town had correct name [abc xyz uuu yyy] with correct spaces and this was used to get my birth certificate.

Please help answer .

I have already submitted affidavits from my mom and dad along with delayed birth certificate while submitting i485.

3. What else I can submit,

I am a bit concerned

This is what I submitted with my i485 package and I faced zero issues.

A non availability of birth certificate document
Affidavit from my Dad, Mum and Uncle, all confirming that I was born to my Mum and Dad.

You have mentioned affidavit only from your mum and dad. You need a third one. Check the i485 instructions PDF, the supporting documents are listed.

If I were you, I'd correct the mistake on the non availability document. It looks a typo made while issuing the certificate. You can always have it corrected and have it ready when questioned on the dot
