                  Hi everyone,

I am an august filler and I got my biometrics done. As of September 4th, the status is ready to be schedule for the interview. And now while reading posts here on the forum in order to prepare for the interview, I actually learn a lot and realized that the one who helped me to fill paper work and submitted form did not submit any proof for our relationship but just marriage certificate. So now I am kinda worried and I am not sure what paper should I prepare.
Also, I recently encountered another issue while preparing that I saw from posts that joint health insurance is that I am currently still an f1 student, and I am bounded to buy school health insurance. Yesterday I went to see my international advisor to ask whether my husband can add me to his health insurance and I can use that instead of school insurance, but he told me that if I don't pay for health insurance through school system, I will be removed from my f1 status. But I can still take class as an PR pending to wait for interview. So, I don't know what should I do? pay through school system and keep my f1 status, or try to have joint health insurance with my husband and ditch my f1 status? Is it ok if I don't have joint health insurance with my husband.
My situation is a bit hard for me as our relationship only around 1 year since the day I met him till now. And I just moved in with him, but the house we live is under my parents in law name and all bills such as gas, electricity, water are paid by my parents in law not by my husband or me. So what else could I do to add more evidence in this case? I have joint bank checking account, but I don't have credit. And for my wedding, we did not really do a big wedding or any, we just went to a service to get confidential marriage. Back then I did not think much about taking photos, so we only have like 1 or 2 with us there since we both don't really like being photographed. And we plan to have an actually bigger celebration in my home country because that's what my parents wish to.
I am very thankful for all of your help.
What your international adviser said sounds inaccurate to me. You would have to dig that up for yourself. Often times people answer questions based on their opinion or what they think might be the rule. Ask for facts to make sure.

Not having joint health insurance will not break your case. Just make sure that everything adds up. Many have found this thread very useful. Just go to the most recent post and scroll down to find a list with very useful resources.

                    • All righty, I'm probably getting ahead of myself here, but now that I have a date for my biometrics, I'd like to start collecting paperwork to get ready for the interview. My question is: I submitted through a lawyer and he asked for our marriage license, current rental lease with both of our names, all utility bills (even though they're all in my name), our joint checking account statements, our W-2s, taxes filed jointly, our joint auto insurance, and about 30 pics of us together and mostly with other people as well. After looking through the links here regarding evidence for a bona fide marriage, I'm thinking I need more and to organize it myself with a table of contents. Is this standard practice? Will any further evidence that I bring with me at the time of the interview be considered? My husband and I have been married for 10 years so I don't know whether to just include current, updated evidence of what we submitted or if I should also include, in the folder that I'll bring myself to the interview, whatever paperwork I may have since the beginning of our marriage? I don't have much, but I'm sure I have our rental lease from 2011-2014 and a few of those utility bills running around here somewhere. Oh, and should i gather some notarized affidavits from our friends as well? I guess I just want to take control of some aspect of this and to be as prepared as possible. Thanks for any help!

If you want to take control to be as prepared as possible, then that?s what you need to do.
I would focus more on showing the longevity of your relationship. I would say that affidavits in your case aren?t a must. I think a lease, bills, insurance, That date back to 2011-2014 carry more weight.
