Thank you! Yes, we filed the I-864 as well. We submitted all the paperwork with a lawyer, but after finding this website, looks like we could have done it ourselves!

I'm guessing the notices from uscis about the paperwork being received will go to the lawyer instead of us?

I guess I'm technically a July submitter but USCIS got the package in August, so here I am 😊

Receipt Numbers

I noticed people said you can call in to uscis 10 days after mailing your package to get your receipt numbers, what information do they ask for in order to give you your receipt numbers?

I guess I am an Aug filer because my I485 was received 8/7 but I130 PD 2/19.

I mailed my package through fedex and I didnt get any Enotifications I read that it?s because I used fedex and not USPS. However fedex confirmed the delivery and who signed it. So now Im waiting on some receipts as well . Heres my time line

They'll ask you for your name, confirm that you're the petitioner, SSN and DOB I think. It's a bit of a pain though to figure out what button combo to press to actually speak to someone!

I went to the biometrics appointment today

I had an biometrics appointment today. So now I wonder how long it will take for the background check. What is your experience?

Really getting nervous about not having received anything further yet since the initial receipt. Nothing online for case status since the original status saying they rec'd the paperwork. Uuugh.

I received notice last night 4 text messages and 5 emails. I should receive the I-797 by September 9, 2018. My application is being sent to the National Benefits Center for processing. What a relief, I can relax now, I was so worried since I completed all the forms myself without any assistance from an Attorney or Immigration specialist. Hoping all goes well now.

Account was just updated (August 29) to "Fingerprint Review Was Completed," so now the waiting game until an interview is scheduled.
