Hi everyone, I am new to this thread, but I've really appreciated the advice and sense of community in this forum and thought it was time to post my timeline as well.

I am growing a bit frustrated as I haven't received a Biometrics notice yet and wonder if this is normal at this point? My lawyer seems to think it is fine and says it takes about a month to schedule. I should preface this by saying I've lived in US for over 12 years on various statuses (F and now J). I'm really hoping to get an update on this soon as I will be completing my J appointment at the end of September and would like to apply for other jobs.

Hey! Welcome to the August 2018 thread.

I'll preface this by saying I'm no expert, but from reading posts, it seems that most people have their biometrics appointment scheduled within about a 30 day time frame. Our PD is 8/21 and the biometrics appointment is scheduled for 9/20. I don't know if they're taking a little longer in NYC? We are also using a lawyer and our lawyer received our biometrics appointment notice as well. If I were you, I would probably call in to see if it's been scheduled or not. If you have happened to miss your appointment, I've read here that other people missed theirs as well but were able to do a walk in biometrics appointment.

          Hi,

I am facing the similar situation and posted the question earlier. Responses here will help you too.

The situation I have explained still remains the same with me. It?s been now over 2 months post biometrics and there has not been any progress in my case since then. Just checking my case status every morning, praying and being patient which is the toughest part.

Aug 2018 Filers - Is this the Process ??

Am not sure if this is the procedure/process. please advise. Have filed my I-485,131 & 765 (EB3 India PD - Dec 2008) for me, wife and son. Got Biometric only for me initially (only for I-485 and not for 131/765) and today for my wife and Son (biometic for all 3 for a different date).

              1. Can i say the officer on my case about 131 and 765 ?
              2. Is it general process that for family it will be on different date ?

              1. When Package sent to USCIS : 08/12/2018
              2. When Package received by USCIS : 08/13/2018

                Biometrics Letter

My PD is August 22th, and since August 27th my account is updated to the fee for fingerprint has been received. I got the 4 receipts in my mail, but have not received my biometrics letter or the courtesy letter for I-693 yet. I called USCIS today, and they said that the biometrics letter has been shipped to me, and if I don't receive that by September 27th, I should call them back.

Have any of you guys experience the same thing?

Have received the receipts for I-485, 131 and 765 but unfortunately the changes has not changed online though I have got my biometric letter too.
why is this ? Is there any other link to see.
                  please advise.

have you created an account on these two sites?
https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/timeout.do This one is linked to the USCIS case tracker app.

You need both accounts to get the most complete picture -available- there is of your case status.

                          August filer here

                          Hi guys,

This website is soooo helpful, talking to my friends about this process is pointless as they dont seem to understand. Here i feel i wont be judged. Anyway,

Im getting a bit antsy as we have not gotten fingerprint appointment notification.
Im a USC filing for my Husband on a B1/B2 Visa, Married 03/2017. Took us forever to file due to the expense.
Sent AOS forms I-130. I-131, I-485, I-765 to NBC via lawyer Aug 16th 2018. PD August 20th 2018, NOR on Sept 07th and nothing since. I have signed up for status updates and nothing update on the egov site since 08/27, stuck on case received and I-485 says Fingerprint fee received. Should i be a be concerned? I dont want my husband to miss his bio appointment as i was reading some people weren't notified. I will be having our daughter this friday 09/21 and will be out of work, Im a nurse, In Central Florida, UNPAID and we realllly need to at least get his EAD so he can work while im out. Am i simply being a worry wart? My lawyer said this is normal.

Am i missing anything? Also what is a Courtesy letter I-6something i see some of you talking about? We sent his physical in along with the forms so should i expect this too?

Also what is the best app to install for android?

                          Thanks a million!

                            Hi there,

did you send the Affidavit of financial support? I-864? Did you submit all your evidence of bona fide marriage at the time of filing for AOS?

Your interview won't be scheduled for a while. Here is a thread that can help you prepare your evidence and know what to expect. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...interview-tips

                            All the best,

                              Firstly, welcome to the thread!

We have similar filing dates, our PD is August 21st. We received our biometrics appointment letter in the mail, but nothing ever updated online concerning that. The biometrics letter should be mailed to both you and your attorney, so you probably haven't missed it yet. I'm thinking the scheduling of your biometrics appointment could be scheduled dependent upon how busy your local office is. I signed up for USPS Informed delivery, which is very helpful, because I was able to see that the biometrics letter was going to be delivered, as we don't check the mail that often normally.

You only receive the courtesy letter if you didn't send your medical in with the application. Since you sent yours in, you won't receive that letter. (My attorney instructed us not to get one yet in case our interview takes more than a year to be scheduled, as the medical exam is only good for a year).

Okay awesome, i guess we should just wait for the appointment then, I signed up for informed delivery so ill keep an eye. For some reason our lawyer made us get the physical done before sending in our petition. Now that i think about it his physical was done in June that sucks because we are most likely going to run past that, uggghh more money but at least the vaccines are done lol. I wish i had found this website prior.

did you send the Affidavit of financial support? I-864? Did you submit all your evidence of bona fide marriage at the time of filing for AOS?

Your interview won't be scheduled for a while. Here is a thread that can help you prepare your evidence and know what to expect. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...interview-tips

                                All the best,

                                USCFFS

Yes i just looked and we did submit a I-864 i provided pay stubs and tax returns, this year i filed single instead of married (At the advice of turbo tax.) because i have a son from a previous relationship and hubby didnt have a SS number so now my lawyer adviced us to wait until we have a ss to amend and and change my filing status and then bring the updated tax returns to the interview. We also sent in our marriage license and certificate, Lease agreement, costco membership cards, shared credit cards, 4 friends and family affidavits. tons of photos from random vacations, our wedding, gender reveal party etc, Life insurance policy naming each other as beneficiary.

Im expecting the interview to take a while, we are more concerned about getting his EAD, we really need that as im having our baby on Friday morning and this unpaid leave is going to kill us. I will check out that mentioned thread in detail, thanks so much!
