Spouse Finger prints done 10/30 and mine on 11/05, no update after that, how long usually takes status change online after Finger print is done ?

Judging by other timelines, it generally updates the next day. If it did not update, that means the FBI is still working on your background checks OR you will receive an RFE. I got my bio done on 10/22, nothing updated until 10/26 when an RFE was mailed.

We will prepare your case for officer review. If we need more information, we will notify you.
I don't know how long that's gonna take. Besides I'm yet to receive my EAD.

aug 2018 filer

hello everyone

this process is so frustrating , i Filed in august and now ive been at " ready to be Scheduled for interview "

Filed August 9th
august 12th priority date
September 11th bio-metrics completed
october 4th case is ready to be scheduled for interview
november 1st i called USCIS to ask how long the work permit would take level 2 officer told me 6-7 months
i also inquired about my Green card and was told i was looking at TWO YEARS because they were still completing applications from MAY 2016.
so who knows what could happen in that time.

Yay! Got my case updated yesterday to ready to be scheduled for an interview after going in for Biometrics on October 31st!

Did anyone receive a case update on the EAD yet? Mine is still on case received since Aug 23rd :/

Interview Scheduled?

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone else from August is waiting to be scheduled for an interview after completing biometrics? I completed biometrics back in September (Sep.24) and had my fingerprints review completed the next day (Sept. 25) but am still waiting for news beyond that. Is anyone else experiencing this and is there any reason for the delay? From reading other threads I see that it could be that the FBI background check hasn't been completed... could that be the hold-up?

Appreciate any advice/input.

As of today 11/7 no updates

I want to see EADs approved!

What will be your field office? Mine I checked was like 4-6 months for EAD. And I live not so far to LA though

I was just reading through the June & July filer threads and it seems like most June and even one July filer started to receive their EAD. So fingers crossed we all get ours before the holidays! 🙏🏻

It all depends on your field office. Check the processing times for the I-485 at your field office - not the NBC.
If you are in a fast jurisdiction, USCIS may scheduled your interview even if your background checks are not finished. Background checks will delay the I765/I131 but not the interview.

Thanks so much for the response! My field office is Brooklyn... so a super slow jurisdiction.

I had been anxiously waiting for the EAD after I had six rounds of interviews at an organization where an offer looked promising...but that ultimately did not come through I hope the EAD comes within the next month so I can begin doing some work or consulting until a more permanent offer comes through since the waiting is excruciating. I know we are all/have been in the same boat so appreciate all the support in this forum.
