  • Case moved to local field office ?

I did a address change last month and I got email regarding completing of SR from local field office. I called USCIS to confirm if the address has been updated (they still see old address but she said it has been updated but the system still didnt pull it . Not sure if she is seeing some internal notes and confirming it) . My online status still says "Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction" since May4th and I got a mail from NBC too confirming the same. When I asked if my case has been moved to local field office as that's where I got SR completed email from , she said it has been moved to local field office.

Is it possible to move the application to local field office with status changing to ready to schedule interview ? Any info is appreciated. Just would like to know if this is normal

Sure, it's possible. Did you speak to a Tier1 or Tier 2? I am asking because Tier 2s choose their wording more carefully than Tier 1st. There are accounts that never update and then an interview notice shows up. So...

      I spoke to Tier 1.

She didn't find the new address updated in the system. But then she took a few min and was reading from somewhere the date the address change SR was completed and said the system didn't pull the address update but the address is actually updated. I really don't understand how that actually works . I created 2 SR just to get same address updated as they were not able to see the new address with my I485 petition.
