  • Change credit card on G-1450

    Hey,

I sent all my applications through just over a week ago (for adjustment of status I-485, I-130 etc) and included a credit card authorization form (G-1450). The credit card I put on the form was caught by the bank as being used fraudulently and so it has been cancelled.

Is there any way I can contact USCIS to update the payment information before they reject it all and I have to start over? I?ve spoken to a few people and they said by time they see a new G-1450 they would have rejected my application already / sent my forms back to me.

The issue is that my lawful status in the US expires on Oct 4, and so if they don?t send my forms back soon, I may not be able to get them back to them in time for them to process the payment and accept my application (given it usually takes 2-3 weeks for a receipt of acceptance). It?s my understanding I?m not in a ?pending adjustment of status? applicant until they officially send receipt to me; in which case I would be legally overstaying if I didn?t have that receipt past Oct 4?

Any ideas on what to do?

    Thanks!
