  • HELP: interview sched next month, but no supporting evidence since SSN just came

Hi! I want to ask the opinions of the rest who have undergone interviews.

My SSN & EAD just came this month ( last week ) and my interview schedule is next month. Now, i dont have supporting evidence needed for the interview such as credit cards, tax returns, bank statements, etc thats substantiate my relationship with husband. Because to be able to have those docs i must have SSN ( which only came last week). I only have pictures of us, and our 2 year old daughter with her birth cert. those are the only docs i have here to show them.

But of course i have the docs showing eligibility is based on marriage such as marriage cert.

you can go with what u have. But,you don?t need a social security number to get all of those above. I started building my evidence ever since I got married to my wife. I married 2016 and submitted my paperwork a year later. Electric companies don?t need your SSN they need their money every month thus the reason they ask about deposits before they give their services out. Banks too don?t need your SSN they need your International passport to open an account for you then you can add your American citizen spouse to the joint account. Just go with what you have and explain to the officer. Goodluck

Thank you so much! Thats helpful tip. I never tried those things, because i am paranoid that USCIS might catch me being undocumented immigrant.
      Thanks though!
