  • Petitioner self employed needs letter of employment for I864?

Hello guys, it's a question that I have regarding the affidavit of support. I recently have aRFIE for I864 but my husband the petioner is self-employed, does he need to write a letter for employment for himself to submit with the form? And it's only me that he's sponsoring for now in part 3 I am not sure which one to choose. He will sponsor his mom in a couple months. By the way I received an email yesterday said that they approved I130. That's one step ahead.
    I appreciate your time here.

An employer letter is not mandatory. There is no point for him to write one for himself.

Only you should be listed in Part 3. The family members in Part 3 are derivative beneficiaries, which there aren't in your case (there can't be derivative beneficiaries in your category anyway). People petitioned on separate petitions should not be listed.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

The RFIEs are generic letters so ignore that part. For self employment they are typically looking for past years tax returns and proof of ?net income?. So see what else the letter wants.
