  • USCIS returned the I-693 (medical exam) open, re-sealing I-693?

    Dear all,

I submitted my I-485, however my dates were not current and USCIS returned the whole document package. The I-693 (medical examination form) was submitted in a sealed envelope but USCIS returned it open inside a plastic pouch with a staple.

My question is: Once my date is current, is it okay if I simply re-submit my I-485 with the I-693 in the same pouch USCIS returned it to me? After all it is them who opened it.

    Thank you!

PS. The civil surgeon would like to get some money for putting the I-693 in an envelope again, sealing and signing it, hence my question.

they did the same to mine and I had to wait until my I-130 is current; got another I-693 form signed and sent it again to the USCIS. It?s pricey but I don?t think we have any other choices ..
