Did anyone get an SSN without having the EAD? I?m married to a US citizen and I will file for AoS soon but I was wondering if the marriage to a citizen is grounds for being granted a SSN. I know I can get an ITIN but I was wondering if I can get the SSN directly. Do I have to wait for the EAD? Thanks.

Yes you have to wait. You can NOT apply for a SSN without EAD or Green card. Like you said, you can only get a ITIN.Originally posted by seattle2903 View Post -
